การแสดงงานลอยกระทง เผาเทียน เล่นไฟ จังหวัดสุโขทัย ประจำปี 2560

งานประเพณีลอยกระทงของไทย มีมาแต่สมัยสุโขทัย โดยมีคติความเชื่อว่าเป็นการบูชา และขอขมาพระแม่คงคาเป็นการสะเดาะเคราะห์ และบูชาพระผู้เป็นเจ้าในศาสนาพราหมณ์ หรือเป็นการบูชารอยพระบาท เป็นต้น

งานลอยกระทงเริ่มทำตั้งแต่ กลางเดือน11 ถึงกลางเดือน12 ซึ่งเป็นฤดูน้ำหลาก น้ำจะเต็มสองฝั่งแม่น้ำ ที่นิยมมากคือ ช่วงวันเพ็ญเดือน 12 เพราะพระจันทร์เต็มดวง ทำให้แม่น้ำใสสะอาด แสงจันทร์ส่องเวลากลางคืน เป็นบรรยากาศที่สวยงาม เหมาะแก่การลอยกระทง

บทพระราชนิพนธ์ในพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว เรื่องพิธีสิบสองเดือน กล่าวไว้ว่า การลอยพระประทีป ลอยกระทงนี้ เป็นนักขัตฤกษ์ที่รื่นเริงทั่วไปของชนทั้งปวงทั่วกัน ไม่เฉพาะแต่การหลวง แต่จะนับว่าเป็นพระราชพิธีอย่างใดก็ไม่ได้ ด้วยไม่มีพิธีสงฆ์ พิธีพราหมณ์อันใดที่เกี่ยวข้องเนื่องในการลอยพระประทีปนั้น เว้นไว้แต่จะเข้าใจว่า ตรงกับคำที่ว่า ลอยโคมลงแช่น้ำเช่นกล่าวมาแล้ว แต่ควรนับถือว่าเป็นราชประเพณีซึ่งมีมาในแผ่นดินสยามแต่โบราณ ตั้งแต่พระนครยังอยู่ฝ่ายเหนือ เมื่อตรวจดูในกฎมนเฑียรบาลซึ่งได้ยกมาอ้างในเบื้องต้น ต่อความที่ว่า พิธีจองเปรียงลดชุดลอยโคมลงน้ำไป มีข้อความต่อไปว่า “ตั้งระทาดอกไม้ในพระเมรุ 4 ระทา หนัง 2 โรง” การเรื่องนี้ก็คงจะตรงกันกับที่มีดอกไม้เพลิงที่วัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดารามและที่ชลาทรงบาตร บูชาหอพระในพระบรมมหาราชวัง ต่อนั้นไปก็ว่าด้วยการลอยพระประทีปที่ว่าในกฎหมายนี้มีเนื้อความเข้าเค้าเรื่องนพมาศ ซึ่งว่า ท้าวศรีจุฬาลักษณ์ซึ่งเป็นพระสนมเอก แต่ครั้งพระเจ้าอรุณมหาราช คือพระร่วง ซึ่งเป็นเจ้าแผ่นดินสยาม ตั้งแต่กรุงตั้งอยู่ ณ เมืองสุโขทัย ได้กล่าวไว้ว่า ในเวลาฤดูเดือนสิบสองเป็นเวลาเสด็จลงประพาสในลำน้ำตามพระราชพิธีในเวลากลางคืน พระอัครมเหสีและพระสนมฝ่ายใน ตามเสด็จในเรือพระที่นั่งทอดพระเนตรการนักขัตฤกษ์ ซึ่งราษฎรเล่นในแม่น้ำตามกำหนดปี เมื่อนางนพมาศได้เข้ามารับราชการ จึงได้คิดอ่านทำกระทงถวายพระเจ้าแผ่นดิน เป็นรูปดอกบัวและรูปต่างๆให้ทรงลอยตามสายน้ำไหล และคิดคำขับร้องถวายแด่พระเจ้าแผ่นดิน ทรงพระดำริจัดเรือพระที่นั่งเทียบขนานกันให้ใหญ่กว้าง

หนังสือตำรับท้าวศรีจุฬาลักษณ์ได้บรรยายถึงลักษณะของกระทงที่นางนพมาศประดิษฐ์ถวายพระร่วงเจ้า ดังนี้

“…การพระราชพิธีจองเปรียง ในวันเพ็ญเดือนสิบสอง เป็นวันนักขัตฤกษ์ชักโคม ลอยโคม นางนพมาศ ได้ประดิษฐ์โคมลอย ตกแต่งเป็นรูปดอกกระมุทมาน กลีบรับแสงพระจันทร์ ใหญ่ประมาณเท่ากระทงระแทะ ล้วนแต่พรรณดอกไม้ซ้อนสีสลับให้เป็นลวดลาย แล้วก็เอาผลพฤกษาลดาชาติมาแกะจำหลักเป็นรูปมยุระคณาวิหคหงส์ ให้จับจิกเกสรบุปผชาติอยู่ตามดอกกระมุทเป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อยวิจิตรไปด้วยสีย้อมสดสว่างควรจะทอดทัศนายิ่งนัก ทั้งเสียบแซม เทียน ธูปและประทีปน้ำมันเปรียงเจือด้วยไขข้อพระโค…” (ดอกกระมุท หือโกมุท เป็นดอกบัวประเภทบัวเผื่อน บัวผัน ที่ขยายกลีบบานในเวลากลางคืน กลางวันหุบ ระแทะ คือล้อเกวียน) นอกจากการลอยกระทงแล้ว ในศิลาจารึกหลักที่ 1 บรรทัดที่ 14 ยังได้กล่าวถึงการเผาเทียนเล่นไฟว่า

“…เมืองสุโขทัยนี้มีสี่ปากประตูหลวง เที้ยรย่อมคนเสียดกัน เข้ามาดูท่านเผาเทียนเล่นไฟ เมืองสุโขทัยนี้มีดั่งจักแตก…” ท่านผู้รู้ทั้งหลานสันนิษฐานว่างานดังกล่าวนั้นน่าจะเป็นการเผาเทียนเล่นไฟ ในงานเทศการลอยกระทง เพราะมีลักษณะใกล้เคียงกันมาก จากข้อความในศิลาจารึกตอนนี้นายนิคม มุสิกคามะ ซึ่งดำรงตำแหน่งหัวหน้าอุทยานประวัติศาสตร์สุโขทัยเมื่อปี พ.ศ.2520 ได้เสนอให้จังหวัดสุโขทัยพลิกฟื้นประวัติศาสตร์ประเพณีลอยกระทงขึ้นให้เป็นงานระดังชาติ เพื่อแนะนำจังหวัดสุโขทัย เพื่อให้ชื่องานตามศิลาจารึกว่า “งานเผาเทียน เล่นไฟ” จุกเน้นที่เป็นหัวใจของงานนี้คือ การฟื้นฟูประเพณีลอยกระทง เผาเทียน เล่นไฟ พลุ ตะไล ไฟพะเนียง ดอกไม้ไฟชนิดต่างๆ ดังนั้นจังหวัดสุโขทัย กรมศิลปากร และการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทยจึงได้ร่วมกันจัดงานลอยกระทงเผาเทียนเล่นไฟ ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.2520 เป็นประจำทุกปีจนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยใช้อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์สุโขทัย เป็นสถานที่จัดงานดังกล่าว

เอกลักษณ์ประเพณีประลอยกระทง เผาเทียน เล่นไฟ เป็นที่เลื่องลือ มีทั้งกระทงทรงพุ่มข้าวบิณฑ์ งานฝีมืออันวิจิตรที่สะท้อนความประณีตของช่างศิลป์เมืองสุโขทัย ตลาดปสานโบราณ หรือตลาดแลกเบี้ย การจำลองบรรยากาศการซื้อ ขาย แบบโบราณ ให้นักท่องเที่ยวได้สัมผัสถึงกลิ่นอายวัฒนธรรมด้วยการแลกหอยเบี้ยแทนเงินสด เพื่อใช้ซื้อขาย อาหารพื้นเมือง และการแสดงแสง สี เสียง สัมผัสเรื่องราวประวัติศาสตร์มนต์เสน่ห์อารยธรรมเมืองมรดกโลก

พิธีและกิจกรรมในภาคกลางวันจะมีขบวนแห่นางนพมาศ และการออกร้าน จัดนิทรรศการ ส่วนในเวลากลางคืนจะมีการประดับไฟ หรือจุดเทียนตามโบราณสถานต่างๆซึ่งมีความสวยงามเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของงานประเพณีลอยกระทงจังหวัดสุโขทัย มีการลอยกระทง และจุดดอกไม้ไฟอย่างสวยงามทั่วท้องน้ำและตระพังต่างๆ ใบบริเวณอุทยานประวัติศาสตร์สุโขทัย มีการจัดประกวดกระทง การแสดงแสง เสียงเกี่ยวกับประวัติศาสตร์กรุงสุโขทัย ณ บริเวณวัดมหาธาตุ ตลอดจนการแสดงนาฏศิลป์และมหรสพต่างๆ

ประเพณีข้าวขวัญวันเล่นไฟ ประเพณีที่จัดขึ้นเพื่อเป็นมิ่งขวัญและสิริมงคลแก่ผู้มาเยือนจังหวัดสุโขทัย  เป็นการรับประทานอาหารร่วมกันของผู้มาเยือนเมืองสุโขทัย ในโอกาสงานประเพณีเผาเทียนเล่นไฟเริ่มจัดเป็นครั้งแรกเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2536 และจัดมาทุกปี มีการขายบัตรรับประทานอาหารร่วมกันบนเสื่อ ณ บริเวณลานหน้าวัดมหาธาตุ ระหว่างเวลาประมาณ 17.30- 19.15 น. พร้อมชมการแสดงศิลปวัฒนธรรมสุโขทัยที่สวยงามตลอดการรับประทานอาหาร   เป็นประเพณีที่จัดขึ้นเพื่อเป็นขวัญและสิริมงคลแก่ผู้มาเยือน สร้างความรักสามัคคีและให้ถูกธรรมเนียมต้อนรับแขกโดยเราชาวไทยได้รับการอบรมสั่งสอน บอกกล่าว เล่าขาน สืบสานกันต่อๆ มา เป็นธรรมเนียมไทยแท้แต่โบราณ ประเพณีข้าวขวัญวันเล่นไฟ จึงได้ถือกำเนิดขึ้นด้วยเหตุผลและความเป็นมาดังกล่าว ชื่อประเพณี “ข้าวขวัญวันเล่นไฟ มีความหมายว่า การกินให้เป็นมิ่งขวัญสิริมงคล ทำให้เกิดความสุขความเจริญตลอดทั้งปี วัตถุประสงค์ที่สำคัญของประเพณีข้าวขวัญวันเล่นไฟ คือ การรักษาธรรมเนียมไทยในการเลี้ยงข้าวปลาอาหาร เพื่อสร้างความรักความเข้าใจ กระชับสัมพันธไมตรี บรรยากาศในงานมุ่งเน้นเอกลักษณ์ไทย ทั้งการแต่งกายแบบไทยๆ การนั่งล้อมวงบนเสื่อ การใช้โตกแทนโต๊ะอาหาร การเลือกอาหารพื้นบ้าน การตั้งอาหารย้อนสู่ยุคสุโขทัยเป็นราชธานี การแสดงของท้องถิ่นสุโขทัย ตลอดจนการบรรเลงดนตรีไทย โดยในปีนี้  สมาคมการท่องเที่ยวจังหวัดสุโขทัยผู้รับผิดชอบการจัดงานได้คัดสรรอาหารดังขึ้นชื่อของจังหวัด  อาทิ  ข้าวเปิ๊ป  ก๋วยเตี๋ยวสุโขทัย   แกงหยวก คั่วขนุน  ปลารากกล้วยทอด  ปลาเห็ด  ลอดช่องคีรีมาศ กล้วยเชื่อมบ้านครูอิ๋ว ฯลฯ  สำหรับผู้สนใจกิจกรรม “ข้าวขวัญวันเล่นไฟ สามารถหาซื้อบัตรได้ที่ Thai Ticket Major บัตรราคาที่ละ 500 บาท
